Esperanza Linares

Esperanza began studying Flamenco at the age of 15 in Seville, Spain, and has studied with such artists as Manolo Marin, Juana Amaya, and Concha Vargas. She founded her own school of Flamenco in Dublin, Ireland where she taught and performed regularly before coming to Canada.

I saw you dance tonight and was electrified. Not to discount the rest of your troupe, but you were the only dancer on stage who I truly believed. When you looked into the distance, I saw the same ghosts you did, when you furrowed your brow, I wondered what made you angry. I have seen Flamenco performed in Malaga and Barcelona, and they did not come close to your performance.
